This site earns a commission from My Patriot Supply when you buy through its links. It costs you nothing extra. This page explains what that arrangement is, and what it does not change.
The arrangement
My Patriot Supply is the one company this site has an affiliate relationship with. If you click a link to its products and then place an order, the site may earn a commission on that purchase. The price you pay is the same as if you had gone to the company's website directly.
Links that carry the affiliate relationship are marked as sponsored, and a short disclosure line appears above the first one on each page.
What it does not change
- Prices. The price shown on the company's page is the price you pay. The guide reads that price and shows the date it was read.
- The numbers. Calorie, serving and day-count figures are worked from the company's own published figures. The arithmetic is shown on each page so you can check it.
- Competitor facts. Other brands are described from their own pages, with read dates and no disparagement. Where a competitor's published figures look lower per calorie than the partner's, the guide says so.
- Recommendations. The guide does not rank any kit above the others, and it lists who each option fits and who it does not fit.
What it does affect
Being paid is the reason the site can exist, and it is fair to say it gives the guide a reason to send readers to one company's kits. That is why the site states the limits of the partner's kits openly, including that they are sized per person, and why other options such as groceries are described as a real route.
Other links
Links to Ready.gov, FDA, USDA and other sources earn nothing. Links to competitor pages earn nothing either.
See the about page for how the site works, or the My Patriot Supply review for the partner's kits.
